These terms govern your use of Lofn (the app and this website). By creating an account or using Lofn you agree to them. If you don't, don't use Lofn.
Eligibility
Lofn is 18+ only. You confirm at signup that you are at least 18 years old. If we discover you are under 18, we will close your account.
Your account
- One account per person.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our safety rules.
What Lofn is — and isn't
Lofn is a conversational entertainment app with AI-driven companions. The companions are software, not people. They are not therapists, doctors, lawyers, or financial advisors, and they cannot substitute for any of those.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to extract sexual, violent, illegal, or otherwise unsafe content from the companions. Our classifier blocks this on every message; circumventing it is a terms violation.
- Use Lofn to harass, threaten, or harm any person.
- Reverse-engineer the app, scrape the API at scale, or attempt to access other accounts.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to Lofn.
Subscriptions and gems
- Subscriptions are billed through your Google Play account. Manage and cancel subscriptions in Google Play; we cannot process refunds — those go through Google's refund policy.
- Pricing: $7.99/month or $59.99/year for Premium. Prices in other currencies are set by Google Play based on local market norms.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.
- Gems are virtual, in-app currency earned by watching rewarded ads (10 gems per ad, up to 2 ads per day). They have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not refundable. Gems expire when your account is closed.
- The free tier gives you 10 messages per day, plus up to 20 more if you choose to watch ads — a ceiling of 30 messages per day. The free counter resets daily at midnight UTC.
Usage limits
- Companion cap. Each account can have up to five companions at a time. To design a new one, you'll need to delete an existing companion first.
- Message length. Each chat message can be up to 1,000 characters. This keeps the conversation focused and your replies digestible.
AI-generated content
Replies are generated by large language models. They can be inaccurate, outdated, or wrong. You should not rely on Lofn for facts, medical guidance, legal advice, financial decisions, or anything else with real consequences.
Memory and data
Lofn intentionally surfaces what each companion remembers about you, and lets you wipe it from the companion detail screen. See the privacy policy for full details on data handling, sharing, and deletion.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time via lofn.app/delete-account. We may terminate your account for terms violations or to comply with law. On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days (with limited exceptions for legal retention).
Disclaimers
Lofn is provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, free of bugs, or suited to a particular purpose. We disclaim warranties of merchantability and fitness to the maximum extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lofn (and the developer) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date will change. Material changes will be surfaced in-app the next time you sign in. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
